What should I expect?

CFA Life is an exciting place of worship for the entire family. From the moment you walk in we want you to feel like family. Every Sunday morning, before Sunday school, we have coffee, donuts and other breakfast foods in our café. Take a look around and you will see faces from many different nations. We are honored to have a diverse group of people from all over the world joining us in worship. As we gather together, you will hear songs of praise from our worship team, and a creative message from our lead pastor, Tom Rakoczy. You may also notice during our services a group participating in worship through sign language. Each week we have interpreters for the deaf. We can’t wait for you to join us and experience life in a whole new way!

What about my kids?

We offer more than child care; we offer amazing environments for children from birth to sixth grade.

First, for our babies, we offer a fully staffed nursery with toys,
activities and teaching.

For our older kids, our services are filled with crazy games, wild music, entertaining puppets and characters, and plenty of awesome activities, all in amazing multimedia experiences.

What about my youth?

The youth meet on Wednesday nights in their own service from 7-8

What should I wear?

Come as you are, and dress however you want; from shirt and tie to sandals and shorts, everyone is welcome here. Whether you are single, married, widowed, a parent, teen or child, we strive to make church creative, relevant and excellent for you each week.

Helpful Tips

What is a tithe and how is it different from an offering? The word, “tithe” literally means tenth or 10%. A tithe is the first 10% of your income. An offering is anything you give above and beyond the 10%.

Why do we tithe? The Bible says, the purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives. (Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB) Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.In Malachi 3:10 (NLT), God says this: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” This is the only place in Scripture where God tells us to put him to the test. In other words, he’s saying, “Go ahead. I dare you. See if you can “out-give” me.”

Is God wise? Do you trust him? These are two fundamental questions behind the act of giving. If God is wise, then you should listen to what he says about financial stewardship. If you trust him, then you should trust him with all aspects of your life, including your finances. So go ahead. Accept God’s invitation to put him to the test. Start tithing faithfully and watch what he does in and through your life.

From the desk of Pastor Tom Rakoczy:

We welcome Pamela James to the Chandler First Assembly of God staff. She has accepted the position of Worship Leader and will begin her ministry on August 9th.

Her vision for the music ministry is:
To enable our worship team/choir to use all their musical talents for God
To enable them to grow musically through vocal and instrumental lessons
To show how to worship, not perform
To encourage them to step out of comfort zone

She is married to Tim James and has 3 children (Andrew (8), Kaitlynn (5) and Aaron (18 months).

Pamela has previous experience with New Life Spirit Filled Ministries as Worship Leader/Youth Pastors, Mountain View Worship as Associate Pastors/Worship Leader, Rocklin Christian Fellowship on the worship team, and Victory Tabernacle as Youth Leaders. She has been a pianist, nursery worker, teen Sunday School class teacher and presently serves along side of her husband in establishing the Young Adult Ministry which is growing. Her husband Tim also plays the piano.

She has attended Mesa Community College for the past 3 yrs majoring in vocal and piano.

Pamela wants to be a vessel used by God to lead His people to a deeper and more intimate understanding of Christ’s love; to experience God in joy, brokeness, and honesty, while remaining “invisible” to the congregation.

So it is with great joy that we welcome her to Chandler First Assembly of God!

Welcome Pamela!

A Special Thanks and Appreciation:
To Skip Salvidge for stepping in and helping out in this transition and for being a great support to the music ministry at CFA!
We appreciate all those involved in the Music Ministry as this transition takes place! THANK YOU!!

A Life Group is a small group! Between 3-12 adults who meet regularly together for the purpose of mutual encouragement, study, prayer, practical support and fun (!) as fellow members of the family of God.

Life Groups meet in circles where the focus is on everyone is able to participate. Large groups are more organized for presentations where the focus is one primary speaker and/or event.

A Life Group is an extended spiritual family! “God sets the lonely in families.” (Psalm 68:6)

Life Groups are vital ways in which discipleship or “friendship ministry” can be practiced on a daily basis among fellow members of the Church (Eph. 4:15-16)

Life Groups are the way in which we provide pastoral care for the Lord’s flock at CFA. (1 Peter 5:2-4; Matthew 9:36-38)

Children in Life Group: Children’s Ministries will endeavor to provide age appropriate group materials to coordinate with Life Group schedules, either in the host’s home, at a different group member’s home, or at the church (unless the group determines that each family will provide for their own child care needs).

- We are to resist the evils of this world and we need to start attacking the root of the problem and that is the sin of this world.

- The world once thought that rebellion was going against what the Bible said, now that is all they all are doing so their rebellion has taken over the world.

Now it is our turn to resist what the world is trying to force down on us.

The Resistance is built around three major truths

To love your God with all your heart, your mind, your soul, and your strength – Matthew 22:37

To love our neighbors as ourselves – Matthew 22:39

To not only resist the devil (James 4:7) but when he flees, we give chase.

- We start going on the offensive and taking back those who have allowed the sin of this world to corrupt them.

- We leave no one behind, we press forward as one body of believers adding to our numbers daily.

- We will not back down, we will not be quiet, our love will be loud in not only words, but actions.

- We will stand together, through the thick and the thin, and will love our Savior without compromise.
